Many people have the experience of making a short video using Windows Movie Maker. As a free video editing software come along with Windows Operating System, Windows Movie Maker is good, but the function is limited. More and more people are turning to Sony Vegas, the best professional and efficient video editor for both beginners and pros on PCs.
Vegas features real-time multi-track video and audio editing on unlimited tracks, resolution-independent video sequencing, complex effects and compositing tools, 24-bit/192 kHz audio support, VST and DirectX plug-in effect support, and Dolby Digital surround sound mixing. The only inefficiency is that the supported video formats are confined to mainly AVI, MPEG, MOV, while AVI is recommended. Recently a friend happened to ask me if it is possible to import PowerPoint into Sony Vegas. Because I have some experience on audio and video converting, I told him why not convert the PowerPoint to a video format like AVI that Sony Vegas supports.
Maybe you haven't used any kind of converting software before, you may think it is complicated. I have used a PPT to Video Converter which is quite easy for beginners. It can convert PowerPoint to almost all popular video formats like WMV, MPEG, AVI, etc. It retains the structure of original PowerPoint, such as the transitions and the slide duration and keeps all delicately designed elements in PowerPoint.
Since the tool is ready, now we are beginning to the most important part, how to convert a PowerPoint to AVI, and only three steps is needed:
1, Import PowerPoint presentation.
2, Choose output file format, AVI.
You can also make advanced settings if necessary.
3, start conversion.
A few minutes later (depens on the number of the slides and the elements contained in the PowerPoint), the converted video comes on earth.
Now, you can import the video (in AVI format, any other format Sony Vegas supports is OK, just choose a different output format in step 2) to Sony Vegas and make further editing. Though Sony Vegas cannot support PowerPoint directly, with this smart converting tool, we could make PowerPoint be supported indirectly.
